Mogami
The complete personal finance app for today and tomorrow.
Mogami is focused on helping people better understand where they’re at, and where they should be to achieve their financial health goals and life goals.
There are 3 main sections of the app: tasks to complete to progress, dashboards, and trackers, and a profile section where all your data is kept safe. Check out more at Mogamiapp.com.
Branding
Mogami had originally existed as Life Dreams. The team wanted a new name that better represented the way the new product would fold in all of a customer’s multi-faceted financial data and situations into one beautiful streamlined outlook and helpful tool. The final brand was inspired by origami, facets, money, momentum pointing towards a brighter outlook. The color palette also reflects the unique steps users take within the app.
Design System
Applying the brand to a brand new design system was the first step in unblocking the team to build several of the critical user flows quickly.
The system eventually grew to a scale in which other composites could be built efficiently as needed.
Content Design
As part of my role, I also oversaw the final content design for every screen, string, and signature moment in the app.
Research & Testing
By using a mix of in-person, virtual, and digital testing with tools like UserTesting, Intercom, and Smartlook, we’re able to enhance designs regularly with user input and data.
Campaigns & Metrics
Using tools like Mixpanel and Storybook allows the team to build quickly, track eng progress, and track how our design changes affect conversion out in the market.
